Hebrews 10:25 - "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Vision Statement - A place where everyone can belong.

smallgroups.jpgMission Statement - To connect people in groups of 8 to 12 who are led by an identifiable leader who meet together regularly with the primary purposes of: encouraging members to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ; caring for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of people; and reaching out to other fellow believers and to those who do not have a relationship with Christ.

Why Life Groups?
We believe that Life Groups are the means by which biblical community can be experienced by people in the church in this day and age. Life groups can provide a “spiritual family” where people can know and be known by others. This family is a place where people are cared for, nurtured, challenged, guided and prayed for; where they can ask questions and share life’s ups and downs.

Jesus challenges us in scripture, "A new command I give you: love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another," (John 13:34-35).  Life groups provide a place and a family where the "one anothers" can be lived out as we love one another, pray for one another, encourage one another, and spur one another on to love and good deeds.

Christ modeled community by coming to live with us and then he called a small group of disciples to live and walk with him. Jesus knew that by ministering to a small group he ultimately could touch many. CommUNITY is Jesus' dream for us.

This is seen in his prayer for us that we may be one as he and the Father and Holy Spirit are one (John 17:11). There is no question that authentic community in small groups is a priority to Jesus. Therefore we are committed to making small groups an integral part of the church.

The Life Group Ministry Team
The heart of the life group ministry team is the life group leaders. These are the people who have stepped out in faith and obedience to Christ to help "shepherd a few sheep." Their commitment and dedication has sustained the life group ministry at Calvary.

The life group ministry leadership team supports these leaders and their groups. The leadership team is responsible for all areas of life group organization, planning, coordination, and support.

The current team members are:
